Dr Shahabi is the founder of the Center for Integrative Osteopathic Medicine, whose mission is to provide a truly complete approach to wellness by integrating the best of what western medicine has to offer, with holistic and osteopathic medicine to promote balance and health of the mind, body and soul.
With an appreciation for the body’s innate wisdom, and emphasizing the relationship between structure and function, Dr. Shahabi aims to optimize health through a holistic and integrative approach to each patient’s path to health and healing.
She completed her residency training at Downey Regional Medical Center in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, where she served as Chief Resident. After becoming Board Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, she returned for a second residency training and became Board Certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM) and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). She has served as the Director of Medical Education for PIH Health Hospital-Downey, overseeing the Residency training programs, teaching and mentoring residents and medical students in Family Medicine as well as NMM/OMM. She also serves as Adjunct Clinical Faculty to both Western University of Health Sciences and Touro University California, and is a course facilitator for Cranial Osteopathy.
Dr Shahabi offers a full spectrum of Osteopathic Integrative care to a wide range of patients including newborns, children, pregnant women and adults.
The goal of Dr Shahabi is for each of her patients to achieve optimal health through anatomic, physiologic, emotional and spiritual balance.
Focusing on the overall health and wellbeing of the patient, knowing well that this includes one’s mental health, physical health, spiritual balance, as well as lifestyle factors including nutrition, exercise and sleep, each visit is very comprehensive.
