Dr. Elnaz "Elly" Shahabi-Abney, DO MSHPE


INTEGRATIVE

Dr. Elly Shahabi-Abney's approach to the health and wellness of her patients is rooted in the Osteopathic philosophy of integration and balance of the whole-person mind, body, and spirit. She believes in the body’s innate wisdom and ability to heal itself when in balance; with proper structure comes proper function.

EDUCATED

Dr. Shahabi received her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences-College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. During her medical school years, she was chosen as a Pre-Doctoral Teaching Fellow and completed her Masters of Science in Health Professions Education. During that time she had the opportunity to teach first and second year medical students the art and science of Osteopathy.

CERTIFIED

Dr. Shahabi is Residency Trained and Dual Board Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, as well as Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (NMM/OMM)

DISTINGUISHED

Dr. Shahabi is currently Adjunct Clinical Faculty at both Western University of Health Sciences and Touro University-California. She has served as Director of Medical Education, overseeing the residency training programs at PIH Health Hospital-Downey.

HOT IT WORKS


Initial visits are generally 1.5 hours and follow-up visits are about 1 hour. Fees depend on the complexity of history and treatment.

Adult New Patients: $420

Adult Follow-up: $350

Pediatric New Patient: $300

Pediatric Follow-up: $170

EVALUATE

You visit our office, where we take a detailed history and physical exam, much like most physician visits.

TREAT

We perform a complete neurologic and osteopathic evaluation, and begin your osteopathic treatment.

PLAN

We provide a personalized assessment with recommendations for sleep, nutrition, exercise, ergonomics, and other lifestyle changes.
